Programme set up by IE S'pore, NTU and 5 industry partners to grow talent pool

SINGAPORE'S talent pool in the trading sector is becoming a competitive advantage, said Minister for Trade and Industry Lim Hng Kiang on Tuesday, as he launched a programme to train Nanyang Technological University (NTU) students for the energy, commodities and metals industries.
International Enterprise (IE) Singapore, NTU and five private corporations have introduced the International Trading Programme (ITP), to which about 100 NTU students will be admitted every year, starting this academic year.
