Foo Chee Hock named judicial commissioner of Singapore High Court
THE Singapore President has appointed former registrar of the Supreme Court Foo Chee Hock as a judicial commissioner of the High Court of Singapore with effect from April 1, 2015.
The appointment is for a term of three years.
The President has also appointed Vincent Hoong Seng Lei as the registrar of the Supreme Court, with effect from April 1, 2015.
Mr Foo was sworn in at a ceremony held at the Istana on Thursday.
Besides his new duties, he will concurrently oversee the development of the Singapore Judicial College under the auspices of the Supreme Court.
With the appointment of Mr Foo, the Supreme Court bench will have a total of 13 judges including the Chief Justice, nine judicial commissioners and five senior judges.
