Tokyo: Stocks close up 0.36%

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks rose 0.36 per cent on Monday after the yen weakened against the dollar in response to a strong US jobs report.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange added 63.43 points to close at 17,711.93, while the Topix index of all first-section issues was up 0.55 per cent, or 7.73 points, at 1,424.92.
