Surbana clinches Myanmar project
It also offers scholarships to five Yangon Technological University students
IN a drive to deepen its presence in Myanmar, Surbana International Consultants has secured a new master-planning project in the Bago region of the country. Under the contract, Surbana will master-plan i-Land Industrial Park, a 400-acre (162 hectare) new development in Bago City, the fourth-largest town in Myanmar.
The project is focused on attracting industrial investors operating in light to medium industries with comparatively clean processes. Surbana's latest contract win followed two other major contracts secured earlier this year - a residential development within Dagon Seikkan Township and the iconic Yangon Aquarium, which is slated to be a major tourist attraction.
With the uptake in new job orders, Surbana has upgraded its branch office in Yangon that it opened in April to a full-fledged subsidiary.
