Taxi app users boosting demand for limo service
GrabTaxi and the Prime group, which supplies vehicles for Uber Black, have seen demand for higher-end rides go up
Singapore
HIGHER-END limousine rides are growing in popularity as more Singaporeans turn to apps to get a taxi, say app providers.
The Prime group, which has a 2,000-strong taxi and rental car fleet, has been providing vehicles for the Uber Black limousine service since March. Uber Black uses upscale models such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class - all under two years old - and Prime supplies the service with Toyota Vellfire MPVs, which are kitted out with features such as DVD players, memory seats, sunroof and a rear power door.
