Market value of Singapore stocks down 2.4% in Sept
But market cap of S$948.9b is still higher than end-2013's S$899.4b
THE total value of Singapore-listed stocks fell 2.4 per cent over the month of September to S$948.9 billion.
Compared to a quarter ago, total market value also fell. Nevertheless, the Singapore market is still bigger than it was at end-2013, when the value of all listed stocks added up to S$899.4 billion.
Phillip Futures investment analyst Howie Lee expects a "sideways" quarter ahead.
