KS Energy unit sells rig for US$84.9m

A UNIT of KS Energy's 80 per cent-owned KS Drilling has sold a jack-up rig for US$84.88 million.
The consideration for the rig, sold on an "as-is, where-is" basis, is US$45.24 million above the aggregate book value of US$39.64 million as at March 31.
The deal agreement entered into by the unit, KS Rig Invest Three Ltd, is for the sale of the rights and obligations under a construction contract for the rig, KS Orient Star 1.
