ComfortDelGro profit gets boost from UK bus line
Group's UK bus business helps raise net profit 5.7% to beat estimates
A NEWLY acquired United Kingdom bus line helped ComfortDelGro Corp to grow 2013 net profit by 5.7 per cent to just beat estimates.
The land transportation group reported yesterday that net profit for the year ended December 2013 increased to $263.2 million, or 12.43 cents per share, in line with revenue, which also grew by 5.7 per cent to $3.7 billion over the same period. Net asset value per share increased by 6.1 per cent to $1.0137.
Average expectations was for a net profit of $262.1 million, according to a poll of 11 analysts by Bloomberg.
