More IPO activity in Asia next year: EY
Published Wed, Dec 11, 2013 · 10:00 PM
THE total number of initial public offerings (IPOs) on Asian exchanges fell this year - largely due to a ban on IPOs in China - but the increased activity seen in the rest of the region will continue into 2014, said EY yesterday.
Exchanges in Asia recorded 347 listings this year, down 16 per cent from the 414 IPOs last year.
The amount raised from IPOs in Asia also dropped 21 per cent to US$44.4 billion.
