Banyan Tree posts $1.4m Q3 loss

HOSPITALITY group Banyan Tree Holdings reported a $1.4 million net loss for its third quarter - down by half from the $2.8 million net loss a year ago - in what is typically a slow period for the group.
Revenue from its hotels business segment rose but revenue from its fee-based and property sales segments fell.
Loss per share for the three months ended Sept 30 came to 0.19 of a cent, against loss per share of 0.37 cent a year ago.
