CPFIS funds up 3.82% in Q3 on market rebound
In the same period, the MSCI World index rises 8.29% in US dollars
UNIT trusts and investment-linked insurance funds (ILPs) in the CPF Investment Scheme delivered positive returns on average in the third quarter, thanks to a market rebound.
Global markets rallied in the third quarter when it became clear in September that the US Federal Reserve would continue its bond-buying programme.
In the three months to end-September, CPFIS-included funds rose 3.82 per cent on average. Equity funds returned 4.89 per cent, outperforming bond funds which rose 0.9 per cent. Mixed asset funds rose by 2.49 per cent.
