Handle cloud security with single appliance
Palo Alto Networks also lists findings of its study, reports AMIT ROY CHOUDHURY
WITH the evolution of cloud computing, enterprises of today need a comprehensive network security solution with integrated security functionalities, such as next-generation firewall, intrusion prevention, secure Web gateway and advanced persistent threat (APT) solution, in a single-engine appliance.
Sharat Sinha, Asia Pac vice-president for Palo Alto Networks, added that cloud computing encompasses an increasingly broad array of uses from applications to data services to virtualisation to software and platform as a service.
"However, instead of viewing the cloud as the utopia IT architecture for all enterprises, it should be understood that it is, in fact, one of multiple options towards a more efficient, responsive and available IT infrastructure and it may be a 'journey of a thousand miles to get there', rather than an immediate migration," Mr Sinha told BizIT.
