ENTERPRISES are facing a BYOD (bring your own device) wave as employees want applications that work both on their mobile devices as well as computers. An added complexity is the fact that in the mobility space, unlike the traditional workstation/notebook environment, there are a number of competing OSes (operating systems) with different APIs (application programming interface). This has made the implementation of an enterprise-wide mobile strategy a complex issue.
