Hong Kong: Stocks end with first-straight rise

    [HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks rose Friday to finish the week with a fifth successive gain that puts the market close to two-year highs.

    The Hang Seng Index rose 0.12 per cent, or 30.79 points, to 25,156.34 - its highest finish since the end of July 2015.

    The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.72 per cent, or 22.01 points, to 3,083.51 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged 0.06 per cent, or 1.05 points, up to 1,820.20.
