Box trade, bunker sales on a roll at the Singapore port
THE Port of Singapore posted increases in its container throughput and ship-fuel sales for the fourth straight month in April.
Container throughput last month exceeded 2.72 million TEUs (Twenty-foot equivalent units), up from over 2.52 million TEUs for April 2016.
The port also bettered its marine fuel sales year on year last month, raking in over 4.25 million tonnes of transacted bunker volume compared to just under 4.11 million tonnes for a year-ago period.
