Fire at Jadason's China unit halts work; no casualties reported
A FIRE at Jadason Enterprises' Chashan unit in Dongguan, China, has halted work for one to two weeks, but the company says it should be able to make an insurance claim for losses incurred.
The fire broke out in a room at the Jadason PCB Materials (Dongguan) factory, which is primarily engaged in the mass lamination of printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Investigations are ongoing, the company said, adding there were no casualties in the incident.
The company's other subsidiaries in the same area, which are engaged in the provision of PCB drilling services and equipment assembly for the PCB manufacturers, were not affected, Jadason said.
"The potential impact of the fire incident on the financial performance and net assets of the company and its subsidiaries for the financial year ending 31 Dec 2018 is not expected to be material," Jadason said.
