Materials sector in positive territory at start of 2016

THE materials sector generated a 3.3 per cent gain over the first two weeks of 2016, an SGX report showed.
In particular, the 10 largest stocks of this sector - which have a total market value of S$3.1 billion - averaged a 0.3 per cent gain over the two weeks, as at the closing prices on Friday.
