SMG sharpening focus on two segments
Healthcare provider out to raise profile in specialist and consumer arena
PRIVATE specialist healthcare provider Singapore Medical Group (SMG) may have turned the corner only recently, but it has already set its sights on becoming the leader in the specialist and consumer segments of the healthcare business.
This, as it leaves behind its debt and legal woes and moves to expand its services and to pad up its referral network under a team led by a determined Beng Teck Liang.
Describing himself as "always very cautiously optimistic", Dr Beng, 43, took over the reins of an ailing company in mid-2013.
