Shanghai's lockdown sends more ripples across supply chains

THE unexpected lockdown in Shanghai is causing ripples in an environment where severe congestions, blank sailings and increased fuel charges are already creating challenges.
"This could be yet another potential setback for exports from China, in light of disruptions triggered by previous Covid-related shutdowns and the war in Ukraine," Henry Ko, managing director of Flexport Asia, told The Business Times.
