Changi Airport's Jewel sparkles for first visitors

Half a million people will get a preview ahead of its April 17 official opening; its retail-dining-play concept set among greenery aims to lure visitors and engage transit passengers

A view of the Shiseido Forest Valley, which houses more than 900 trees and palms and about 600,000 shrubs, and the 40-metre HSBC Rain Vortex, the world's tallest indoor waterfall.

The Discovery slides at the Canopy Park, which also includes sky nets, hedge and mirror mazes. These attractions open on June 10.


CHANGI Airport's Jewel welcomed its first visitors on Thursday for a preview of the new development, which is part of the airport's effort to enhance passenger experience in an increasingly competitive environment.
