China's manufacturing activity expands but reveals fragility of recovery

New export demand continued to shrink to 49.7, although better than the 48.7 in March, a sign foreign demand for Chinese made manufacturing products is still low.


CHINA'S manufacturing sector is still struggling even though it expanded in April, two surveys showed, as the world's second-largest economy continues to find a solution to its trade war with the US and still faces tepid global demand.
