Evonik 'confident' about China probe outcome

GERMAN specialty chemicals giant Evonik, which has two methionine plants in Singapore, said it fully supports China's anti-dumping probe regarding the chemical and is "confident with respect to its outcome".
China's Ministry of Commerce said on Wednesday that it was launching an investigation on its imports of the amino acid methionine from Japan, Malaysia and Singapore at the request of domestic producers. The investigation will last a year, to be completed by April 10, 2020.
