Food delivery is here to stay as F&B players ramp up online sales
But high delivery platform fees and fall in traffic from office crowd make recovery tough going, say some operators

THINGS are looking up for food and beverage (F&B) firms that have successfully transitioned to online sales. But worries include food delivery commission fees, and prolonged work-from-home arrangements still biting into revenues.
On Monday, Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing told the media that F&B firms which have acted to transform their businesses, without waiting for pre-Covid-19 business conditions to return, are on the path to recovery.
