Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister-In-Charge of the Smart Nation Initiative, announced that the government will partner Microsoft to explore next-generation digital government services, with Microsoft's Conversations as a platform. Specifically, the parties will explore conversational computing, such as the use of chatbots for selected public services.
The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) will study with Microsoft a new computing proof-of-concept that builds conversational intelligence into public services to make them more anticipatory, accessible, engaging and inclusive.
