Hong Kong opens higher, Shanghai stocks flat
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks opened higher on Wednesday following a marginal rise on Wall Street, while Shanghai was flat after gains in the two previous sessions.
The Hang Seng Index was up 0.43 per cent, or 116.17 points, to 27,291.13 in the first few minutes of trade.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index inched down 0.10 per cent, or 3.41 points, to 3,247.85, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged down 0.08 per cent, or 1.57 points, to 1,885.71.
