Hong Kong: Stocks end higher on energy rally

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong shares rose Thursday, tracking gains in New York, as energy firms rallied on the back of a surge in oil prices.

The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong added 0.30 per cent, or 69.43 points, to 23,374.40.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index ended flat, inching down 0.26 points to 3,084.46 but the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, added 0.32 per cent, or 6.60 points, to 2,060.39.
