Hong Kong: Stocks slip at the open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks slipped slightly in early trade on Friday, while Chinese shares opened unchanged ahead of the release of manufacturing data in muted trading before a week-long national holiday.
The Hang Seng Index edged down 0.12 per cent, or 32.82 points to 27,388.78.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was 0.02 per cent, or 0.67 points, higher at 3,340.31, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged up 0.09 per cent, or 1.68 points, to 1,976.46.
