Stocks to watch: MCT, KIT, GuocoLand, ESR-Reit, Ascendas India Trust, AA Reit

THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Thursday (Jan 27):

Mapletree Commercial Trust (MCT): N2IU The real estate investment trust (Reit) reported net property income of S$291.3 million for the 9 months ended Dec 31, 2021, 5.6 per cent higher than a year ago on Wednesday. The manager credited it to lower rental rebates and higher compensation received from lease pre-terminations. Units of MCT ended up S$0.01 or 0.6 per cent at S$1.84 on Wednesday, before the announcement.

Keppel Infrastructure Trust (KIT): A7RU The business trust reported a distribution per unit (DPU) of S$0.0192 for H2 FY2021 on Wednesday, up 3.2 per cent from a DPU of S$0.0186 for H2 FY2020. This brings KIT's DPU for FY2021 to S$0.0378 and marks the first time there has been an increase in the trust's annual payout of S$0.0372 since FY2016. Units of the trust ended 0.9 per cent or S$0.005 lower at S$0.55 on Wednesday, prior to the announcement.

GuocoLand: F17 The property developer posted a 195 per cent rise in net profit to S$67.5 million for its first half ended Dec 31, 2021, from S$22.9 million a year ago. This was due to higher revenue growth, mainly driven by the higher progressive recognition of sales from the group's residential developments in Singapore. Shares of GuocoLand closed at S$1.50 on Wednesday, up S$0.02 or 1.4 per cent.

ESR-Reit: J91U The Reit posted a DPU of S$0.01433 on Thursday for the second half ended Dec 31, 2021, compared with S$0.01441 in the year-ago period. Units of ESR-Reit closed flat at S$0.445 on Wednesday, before the release of the Reit's financial results.

Ascendas India Trust: CY6U The property trust reported a DPU of S$0.036 for the second half of FY2021 ended December on Wednesday, down 14 per cent from a DPU of S$0.0419 in H2 FY2021. This brought the trust's DPU for the full FY2021 to S$0.078, some 11 per cent lower than DPU of S$0.0883 in FY2020. Units of Ascendas India Trust ended up 1.5 per cent of S$0.02 at S$1.38, before the announcement.

Aims Apac Reit (AA Reit): O5RU The Reit has reported a DPU of S$0.0235 for the third quarter ended Dec 31, 2021, up 14.6 per cent from its Q3 DPU of S$0.0205 a year ago, the Reit's manager announced on Thursday. Units of AA Reit closed at S$1.43, up 0.7 per cent or S$0.01, prior to the announcement.

Keppel Pacific Oak US Reit (KORE): CMOU The office Reit on Wednesday posted a H2 DPU of 3.18 US cents, up from 3.13 cents a year ago. The DPU includes an advanced distribution of 0.64 US cents which was paid out on Sep 28, 2021, for the Jul 1 to Aug 5, 2021 period. Units of KORE closed flat at US$0.775 on Wednesday.

Rex International: 5WH The oil exploration and production company announced on Wednesday that it has received in-principle approval from the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading to transfer its listing from the Catalist board to the mainboard. Rex International will seek approval from its shareholders at an annual general meeting that will take place in due course. Shares of the counter closed on Wednesday at S$0.32, up 3.2 per cent or S$0.01, before the announcement.
