Stocks to watch: PropNex, Manulife US Reit, Bumitama Agri, Kimly, Keppel, F&N, UG Healthcare

THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Tuesday:

OYY : The mainboard-listed real estate agency on Tuesday posted a first quarter net profit of S$14.8 million, nearly double the S$7.6 million the year before. This came amid higher revenue due to an increase in commission income from agency services, as well as contributions from project marketing services. Shares of PropNex closed at S$1.09 on Monday, down S$0.04 or 3.5 per cent.

BTOU : Its manager on Tuesday announced a portfolio occupancy of 92 per cent in Q1 FY2021, lower than the 96.5 per cent occupancy reported the year before. Citing a recent JLL report, the manager said this was still above the US Class A average of 82 per cent. Units of Manulife US Reit ended half a US cent or 0.7 per cent higher at 75 cents on Monday.

P8Z : The Indonesian palm oil producer posted 36.4 per cent lower earnings of 166.73 billion rupiah (S$15.6 million) for the first quarter ended March, compared to earnings of 262.07 billion rupiah in Q1 FY2020. An increased crude palm oil levy and export tax dragged on the group's bottom line for the quarter despite improved production, it said in a business update on Tuesday morning. Bumitama Agri shares ended Monday flat at 47.5 Singapore cents.

1D0 : The Catalist-listed coffee-shop operator has proposed to acquire a 75 per cent stake in home-grown food business Tenderfresh for S$54 million, to be satisfied via a mix of cash and new Kimly shares to be issued. The move will provide Kimly an opportunity to expand into the growing halal food industry in Singapore and neighbouring countries. Kimly on Tuesday lifted its trading halt called on May 5, where it last closed at S$0.32.

BN4 : Its wholly-owned subsidiary Keppel Shipyard secured a US$2.3 billion contract awarded by Brazil's national oil company, Petroleo Brasileiro, on the basis of an international tender for the delivery of a floating production storage and offloading vessel. Keppel Corp shares fell S$0.05 or 0.9 per cent to end Monday at S$5.31.

F99 : The beverage and publishing company on Monday posted a 16.1 per cent rise in net profit to S$83.4 million for the half-year ended March 31, 2021. Revenue increased 2 per cent to S$988.6 million. The counter closed at S$1.45 on Monday, up S$0.01 or 0.7 per cent.

8K7 : Glovemaker UG Healthcare posted a net profit of S$34.3 million for the third quarter ended March 31, 2021, almost 57 times its net profit in the previous year. Gross profit jumped to S$58.6 million from S$7.5 million. The counter closed at 65 Singapore cents on Monday, down 1.5 cents or 2.3 per cent.

S61 : The transport operator posted a profit after tax of S$23.3 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2021, more than double the S$11.1 million the year before. Revenue fell 6.5 per cent to S$317 million, but operating profit increased 70.9 per cent to S$24.9 million with government support. The counter closed at S$3.06 on Monday, down S$0.02 or 0.7 per cent.

558 : On Monday, the precision-engineering firm recorded a first-quarter rise in net profit of 44 per cent to S$15.4 million, in part due to the continued acceleration of demand for semiconductors worldwide. The mainboard-listed company also announced an interim dividend of S$0.01 per share for the quarter ended March 31. Shares of UMS ended Monday at S$1.36, up S$0.01 or 0.7 per cent.

U9E : Through its wholly-owned subsidiary, the environmental protection company entered into a supplementary agreement for an upgrading project worth 253 million yuan (S$52.3 million) in China's Shaanxi province. Shares of China Everbright Water ended up half a Singapore cent or 1.9 per cent at 26.5 cents on Monday.

T39 : Khaw Boon Wan, who served as the coordinating minister for infrastructure and the transport minister from 2015 to 2020, will be the chairman of the company limited by guarantee that is being formed as part of the mainboard-listed organisation's proposed restructuring. SPH closed at S$1.57 on Monday, up S$0.05 or 3.3 per cent.

D05 : The bank announced that it has issued more than S$450 million in Sora-pegged (Singapore Overnight Rate Average) loans as at end-April 2021, just over six months after the bank launched the market's first Sora-pegged business property loan. Shares of DBS closed at S$29.63 on Monday, down S$0.23 or 0.8 per cent.

BHK : The mainboard-listed company posted a 23.1 per cent rise in first-quarter net profit to 160.1 million yuan (S$33.1 million), from 130.1 million yuan the previous year. For the three months ended March 31, earnings per share rose to 6.16 fen, from five fen last year. Shares of SIIC Environment ended Monday flat at S$0.24.
