Car COEs hit 8-year lows

CERTIFICATES of entitlement (COE) for cars ended at their lowest in as long as eight years on Wednesday, just weeks from a new emission ruling that could further lower premiums.
COE for cars up to 1,600cc and 130bhp fell by 4.1 per cent to close at a nine-month low of S$36,426. COE for cars above 1,600cc or 130bhp finished 5.2 per cent lower at an eight-year low of S$36,000.
