WHILE the Singapore government has set aside some S$2 billion for a jobs and training package, industry watchers appear divided on the extent to which it can help ease the pandemic's impact on unemployment.
Announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Heng Swee Keat on Tuesday, the SGUnited Jobs and Skills Package is expected to create close to 100,000 opportunities in jobs, traineeships and skills training.
