CHINA'S exports and imports both jumped in June, confirming a recovery of activity as other countries gradually reopen their economies after months of forced lockdown due to the coronavirus.

Chinese exports rose 0.5 per cent last month and imports jumped 2.7 per cent - an improvement from the declines of 3.3 per cent and 10 per cent respectively in May, in a sign that both domestic and global demand are slowly picking up.
