Micro-Mechanics CEO gives S$435,000 of own shares to family charity
THE chief executive and founder of semiconductor equipment maker Micro-Mechanics has donated about S$435,000 worth of his own stock to a family charitable foundation.
Chris Borch gave 250,000 of his own shares, representing a 0.18 per cent stake in the company, to The Borch Foundation on Thursday, the company announced after the market closed on Thursday. Mr Borch's interest in Micro-Mechanics now stands at 52.387 per cent.
Mr Borch and his wife set up the foundation in 2007 to support non-profit organisations that focus on education, community development, the environment and conservation.
