Myanmar the link for trade between South Asia and S-E Asia: ADB
Tokyo
MYANMAR has joined the South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation (SASEC) partnership, opening up what the Asian Development Bank (ADB) claims will be "new markets and supply chain links for trade and business between South Asia and South-east Asia".
Myanmar's membership comes ahead of the first SASEC meeting of finance ministers that will be held in New Delhi on Monday where SASEC members will announce their vision for developing the subregion.
