Analysts 'upbeat' about US economic prospects on Trump's watch

ON the eve of Donald Trump's inauguration as the 45th US president, investment group Fidelity International published a survey among its global analysts, showing a majority of them to be upbeat about the prospects for the world's largest economy under his leadership.

The Boston-based investment group suggested that the impact of a Trump presidency over the next two years will be "positive for corporate tax reform, income tax cuts, infrastructure spending, deregulation, steeper yield curves and because of the 'clean sweep' in Congress".
