CHINA'S future growth trajectory could be "L-shaped" - with a plateau of stability at the foot of a cliff of falling growth rates - analysts suggested at a Tokyo symposium which ended on Tuesday. But the foot of the cliff might not have been reached yet, it was suggested.
"Economic activity in China is stabilising but we may still see downward pressure on growth," Yiping Huang, deputy dean of the National School of Development at Peking University told a seminar organised by the IMF Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific and the University of Tokyo.
