Tiger 'brewed by the sun', as APB takes solar plunge in Singapore
The move follows Apple's announcement that it will power all operations here with solar energy from January
Singapore
ASIA Pacific Breweries (APB) Singapore has installed solar panels on its factory rooftop, making all Tiger beer consumed in the Republic now "brewed by the sun".
The project - Heineken's first solar installation project in the Asia-Pacific, and the largest worldwide, will reduce its carbon footprint by a fifth. The unveiling of the solar panels follows Apple's announcement earlier this week that it will power all Singapore operations with solar energy from January onwards.
