Integrated Shield Plan insurers move to retain policyholders
[SINGAPORE] A price war among the five insurers offering Integrated Shield Plans (IPs) here is brewing.
In an e-mail reply, NTUC Income said that it is "committed to not increasing premiums for the top-up portion for all IPs", for both public and private hospitals for a year after MediShield Life kicks in, while Aviva has rolled out a discount for new IP customers and existing clients under its regular marketing promotion.
AIA and Prudential have declined comment, while Great Eastern Life reiterated the stance taken in an agreement among the five.
