STATS ChipPAC narrows Q2 loss to US$4.18m

STATS ChipPAC was still in the red for the second quarter but losses were sharply lower than a year ago when it incurred heavy plant-closure costs.
The group, a provider of advanced semiconductor packaging and test services, expects revenues for the current third quarter to rise between 2 and 8 per cent from the second quarter. It had said in July that its more advanced semiconductor technology - unveiled two months ago - has seen strong demand.
