New Municipal Services Office to open on Oct 1
It'll coordinate work of 8 public agencies to address common everyday life issues
[SINGAPORE] Although the new Municipal Services Office (MSO) will be officially launched on Oct 1, the woman in charge of this latest government initiative says work is already under way to help the public deal with municipal matters.
"As far as the public is concerned, we are already open for business," said Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Grace Fu on the sidelines of a community event in Jurong East yesterday.
The MSO, first announced by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in his National Day Rally speech a week ago, will coordinate the work of eight public agencies to address issues such as fallen trees, litter and faulty traffic lights.
