Stocks to watch: Sembcorp, Frasers Property, First Resources, SBS, UMS
THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities on Monday (Nov 14):
Sembcorp Industries : U96 0%: The group is acquiring three solar projects in northern China for about 15 million yuan (S$3 million), with future capital injection of up to 1,148 million yuan. This will be funded through a mix of internal cash resources and external borrowings. Sembcorp Industries is also acquiring an independent power producer in India for 27.8 billion rupees (S$474 million). Sembcorp shares rose S$0.02 or 0.7 per cent to close at S$3.04 on Friday, before the acquisitions were announced.
Frasers Property : TQ5 0%: The company on Friday posted a 12.4 per cent increase in net profit for the full year ended Sep 30 to S$871.4 million. Revenue for the full year rose 3 per cent to S$3.88 billion, while earnings per share (EPS) dipped to 22.2 Singapore cents from 22.6 cents a year ago. The company has proposed a first and final dividend of three cents per share, higher than the two cents per share it declared in FY2021. Frasers Property shares closed at S$0.885 on Friday, up S$0.015 or 1.7 per cent, before the results were released.
