GHY Culture & Media appoints substantial shareholder's wife as deputy CEO
ENTERTAINMENT and content provider GHY Culture & Media Holding has appointed Lian Lee Lee, the wife of substantial shareholder and group adviser John Ho, as its deputy chief executive officer.
Ms Lian was previously the executive director of GHY Culture & Media (Singapore) since November 2019. Before that, she was events director of Bestin Entertainment.
GHY said the nominating committee has assessed that Ms Lian acts independently and does not act under the direction, control or influence of any party including Mr Ho. She is also not a nominee of any party, including Mr Ho, it said.
Mr Ho holds a direct interest of 10.6 per cent in the group, according to GHY's FY2020 annual report. Ms Lian holds 30 million shares, or a 2.79 per cent stake, in the group.
The counter closed at 66.5 Singapore cents on Friday, down 3.5 cents or 5 per cent.
