DBS launches hackathon to find solutions for effortless banking
Over 1,000 participants from 25 markets sign up to pitch concepts and win cash prizes

DBS launched a global hackathon on Tuesday, which is geared towards finding teams with creative concepts to make banking effortless for digitally-savvy customers.
Soh Siew Choo, DBS' managing director and head of consumer banking and big data analytics technology, said: "Banks continue to face stiff competition from non-financial companies and must re-invent and disrupt themselves in order to stay relevant.
