ChildAid concert raises record $2.035m

WHEN the cheque was presented to a group representing the young beneficiaries of this year's ChildAid charity concert last night, everyone on-stage and off was delighted at the sum raised for financially disadvantaged children.

The sum - a record $2.035 million - beat last year's $2.01 million and brought the total amount raised by ChildAid concerts since 2005 to $9.8 million.
