OCBC Aquatic Centre set for 1st big event
[SINGAPORE] A slice of history was created yesterday, with the opening of the OCBC Aquatic Centre - the first facility in the $1.3-billion Singapore Sports Hub to mark its completion.
The 6,000-seater arena is one of several properties within the sports complex for which local bank OCBC bagged a landmark 15-year naming- rights deal last November to become the hub's premier founding partner.
The deal, worth more than $50 million, includes an indoor sports hall to be called the OCBC Arena, two club lounges in the National Stadium and a VIP lounge in the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
