[SINGAPORE] The rapidly developing continent of Africa has been attracting global urban consultants to compete for building and planning projects.
These include not just the Americans and Europeans, but also the newly industrialised South Africans, the Chinese, Egyptians, Arabs, and Singaporeans who position themselves as coming from a country that went from third world to first in just 35 years.
It is a critical juncture as many African countries are only just starting to urbanise. This presents a sweet spot for urban solution experts to enter and create blueprints for their cities, so that they can develop organically and systematically, rather than haphazardly.
