Andy Lau Frenzy
Demand for Andy Lau's run of 20 shows in Hong Kong last December was so high it jammed the ticketing system for hours and a knife incident occurred at the box office. Needless to say, resale prices on the secondary market soared to almost ten times the face value, to the point that Chief Executive Carrie Lam had to announce that scalping could soon be criminalised. Singapore fans have it better because there are still a handful of tickets left (at press time) for the remainder of his four-night stand at the Indoor Stadium, which kicked off on Wednesday. Lau, who turns 58 on Sep 27, performs on a four-sided stage that boasts 60 lifts and two catwalk extensions. He will also perform in mid-air to get closer to the fans and one of the visual artworks used is a drawing by his seven-year-old daughter.
My Love Andy Lau World Tour takes place at Singapore Indoor Stadium until Sep 28. Limited tickets from S$168 to S$368 available from www.sportshubtix.sg and at the venue.
