Stephen King readers would know. The 1986 best-seller of the title by King ranks among the pulp horror master's finest creations.

There has been a 1990 TV series. Argentinian filmmaker Andy Muschietti of the 2013 sleeper hit Mama is directing the first feature adaptation, with the narrative's 1950s Derry, Maine updated to 1988.
