French Toast
To Eric Khoo, no other country cherishes independent cinema as much as France. But don't just take his word for it, see it for yourself at the French Film Festival which runs until Nov 20. The line-up features 18 titles ranging from cult classics to new releases from a wide spectrum of genres that includes drama, thrillers, documentary, romance, and fantasy. Highlights include Monsieur Chocolat, based on the true story of France's first black stage artist; Tomorrow, the 2016 Cesar Award-winning climate change documentary by actress Melanie Laurent and Cyril Dion; In Bed with Victoria, a dramedy that was screened in the International Critics' Week section at this year's Cannes Film Festival; and more.
