Share buybacks perk up in June

SHARE buybacks by Singapore-listed companies picked up in June from the previous month, but companies have shelled out less so far this year than they did the year before.
Thirty-one companies bought back over 96 million shares last month, for a total consideration of S$217.8 million, according to data released on Tuesday by the Singapore Exchange (SGX).
